Kim & Brigham - Frames

As a little surprise for Kim and Brigham, we had four of their photos framed! I waited to post these photos of the frames until I knew they’d received them :) The first set of photos are the actual Polaroid we used and then the image of the Polaroid and them kissing behind it. The second set include the photo from Kim’s parents’ wedding, and our recreation of it!

Recent CD/DVD Labels

As a part of many portrait and wedding packages, we include a disk of the images at high resolution with custom-printed fronts. We use high-quality inks and disks so that these disks will be beautiful for a long time :)

The text on these looks better on the actual disks, but I wanted to give you a taste of some of the recent disks we’ve mailed out!

Tiffany & Chad - Packaging

A month and two days since Tiffany and Chad first logged in to see their proofs, I mailed them their album, DVD and thank-you notes. Now that I’ve got delivery confirmation from UPS I can happily post pictures of the packaging :) Here’s the whole shabang:

I purchased most of the materials from the Paper Source. As you saw in the video I made of their DVD packaging, Tiffany and Chad had a beautiful wedding with pinks and browns throughout all of their details. I used pink- and brown-striped wrapping paper (which was actually pretty difficult to use, since it was thicker paper and not the typical stuff you buy on rolls). I also used a beautiful chocolate satin ribbon to tie everything together. Here’s some detail, including my thank-you note to them:

So we included the DVD, the album, and the 101 thank-you notes that they’ll send to everyone. Here’s what the thank-you notes look like (they’re postcards):

And here’s everything ready to slide in to the outer box:

Tiffany and Chad have been absolutely wonderful to work with. I’m sad that this is the end of the work for this wedding, since it’s been such a blast. Here’s to hoping they need lots of family portraits soon :)

This is our first foray into filming for our blog. There will be lots more to come. I promise I’ll talk slower next time. :)

Packaging - Jenn and Ben

Ben and Jenn had their monogram designed by Creative Montage a little while ago. Their colors are dark blue and orange, so after I took their engagement portraits, I knew that I had to hunt down some packaging in these colors. It proved to be difficult, however - no one seemed to make a pattern that used both of the colors, so I had to make it myself!

I took parachute ribbon (yes, made from real parachutes) in the two colors - one wide one in navy and one thinner one in orange - and using my favorite adhesive, Zips, I adhered them to create a layered ribbon. I bought lots of it so I can continue the theme on their print and album packaging after their wedding :) I think it came out nicely:

I always ask the client to send me along their monogram files so I can use their custom-designed monogram in everything I create for them! Here, I used it on the address label:
