Randi & Brandon - 1st Anniversary!

What moment stands out to you most from your wedding planning process?

Navy Yard - Wedding PhotographyThe nonstop planning and researching that went into planning our wedding. We wanted our day to be special and unique with reflections of our personalities. Little did Brandon know that it would become my full time job for five months ☺ I was very hands on with making favors, décor, flower arrangements, making our hand painted aisle runner, etc. The list never seemed to get shorter!

What moment stands out to you most from your entire wedding day?

Brandon- My first sight of my bride. She was more beautiful that I had imagined.

Randi- Seeing Brandon waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I practically ran down the aisle to get to him. Throughout the ceremony I can remember being soo excited and anxious for our Reverend to declare us husband and wife. It was the greatest moment.

What advice would you give to couples currently planning their weddings?

Enjoy the day as much as possible. Don’t let the small stuff get to you. It went by way to fast for us and we constantly wish we could go back and savor it a bit more. Throughout the day remind yourself to sit back and take in everything. It’ll help you enjoy and appreciate all you have.

What was your favorite wedding photo and why?

This is probably the hardest question to answer…. we absolutely loved allllll of our photos. I don’t think we could honestly pick one that we consider a favorite. We probably could narrow it down to about 50 or so favorites.

If we had to pick a top six it would be:

  • Randi cheering at the alter after we were pronounced husband and wife.
  • Close up black and white photo of us kissing on the brick wall.
  • Black and white photo of Randi in the limo with the reflection of her father in the window.
  • Fun photo of Brandon feeding Randi ice cream at the hot dog stand in D.C.
  • Entire bridal party jumping on the pier near the water
  • Us kissing in front of water fountain at the WWII memorial.

What have you done with the photos since the wedding?

We have them framed throughout our home. Many of our coffee tables have our wedding coffee table book on them. My mother, mother-in-law, and many other relatives love carrying the mini album in their purses to show off :)

What are you looking forward to for your next year of wedded bliss?

We are looking forward to learning and growing together as new parents. With the arrival of our first child, Chloe Belle Morgan we couldn’t be more excited. She will be here in November.
